Santa Rosa, CA- The City of Santa Rosa Fire Department will officially declare May 17, 2021 as the start of this year’s wildfire season in Santa Rosa.
The date has been set following several days of Red Flag Warning conditions just outside the City limits in the North Bay Mountains and in combination with recent local hot and dry weather. The season comes significantly earlier than normal due to severe drought conditions locally, and throughout the state.
