The Bay Area can expect another roller-coaster ride when it comes to temperatures this week.
After a cloudy and cool Saturday, skies were sunny and temperatures warmed up to near average for Super Bowl Sunday. The sunshine and warmth will hang on for Monday, as the ridge of high pressure weakens and slowly heads south.
But then a trough, or an area of low-pressure, will usher in colder air, sending temperatures back down.
