We chose this hotel for a nice Sonoma County getaway. The location is lovely in downtown Santa Rosa, the rooms are average. Ours had an ant problem. While staying several unfortunate events happened. One we were charged a $35 daily resort fee for which we were not originally told. This was also disappointing since the pool was full of leaves and debris and the sauna was lukewarm. Second, we forgot my husband's dress shoes and were told they were not found via a cold email. I followed up with a call to speak with the General Manager, Monica Hubert, but she never returned my call. A $600 dollar hotel room charge and $400 dollar shoes lost. Would you stay here again?

I literally came for the pool, I’m not even a guest :) It’s was my day off and decided to hit the pool. You can purchase a day pass, lucky I had a friend staying here so I was a guest of the guest. I drove up and saw no guest parking, the two lots I did see were guest access only along with valet parking. I parked out front on the street. The valet guy was so nice, he smiled and used the automatic button to open the lobby door for me as I walked in. Towards the back of the hotel you will find the pool. The pool was just perfect, lots of seating, towels available, hot tub, small side tables, and they also have a cafe. The cafe serves nibbles and alcohol. The pool is a great size to accommodate plenty along with the hot tub. The water was clean and the area looked very well maintained. I will say earlier in the day the vibe was peaceful with just a few adults around but as soon as 3/4pm hit the families and kids were in full effect. The hotel looked very nice and clean, unfortunately I didn’t get to check out the rooms or much more but if I needed somewhere to stay I would definitely consider this place. :)

I was well aware of the extra fees but feel you should actually get something for them. Destination fee for what I am not sure. They did not have any amenities that I am not accustomed to getting at any other Hyatt. If anything they had less. As far as service I have never had worse. I sat at the front desk for 15 minutes at check in with questions only to give up hope of ever seeing someone. At my second attempt at costumer service, I watched an employee be very rude to a customer while I waited. I understand that people can test you but it is your job to be polite. As far as the room. Very beat up. Holes in the walls and fixtures falling from the wall. The remote for the TV could not be located anywhere in the room. The only plus was the location next to many businesses and restaurants that actually understand what customer service is.

This was just a bad experience. I asked for a late check out-1pm, as I had a few work calls I needed to handle. Front desk approve that late check out the morning of my request. As I am in the middle of a difficult work related conversation housekeeping knocks and opens the door. 1 hour later housekeeping knocks again. It happened 3 times. To say I was mad is an understatement. To top it off this hotel charges ridiculous fees and they barely have amenities. Hot tub was not working either. The air conditioning is also a joke at this hotel.

We are staying at this Hyatt Regency due to its close proximity to the start and finish of the Santa Rosa Marathon. Was a little hesitant due to the reviews we read beforehand, but after spending time here, this property is definitely being underrated. The rooms are clean, the service at the valet and front desk have been great, and this property is in walking distance to lots of shops and restaurants in Santa Rosa. We are staying in one of the standard one bedroom Sonoma suites and actually prefer this room to the standard one bedroom suite we just checked out of at the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe. The room in Sonoma is very comfortable and a relative bargain compared to what other properties charge for a room this size in the wine country region. I will say that you do hear slight traces of highway noise from the room, but as people who live in a city and are not super sensitive to noise, this doesn't affect our experience one bit. Would definitely stay here again on our next trip to the area. If you do want absolute peace and quiet, look somewhere else but also be prepared to spend substantially more. For us, this place is great!
