SANTA ROSA, CA — Work started Tuesday on a Pacific Gas and Electric Company enhancement project that involves replacing 1,153 feet of underground powerlines in East Santa Rosa.
The work is taking place along Tupper Street near Sonoma and Santa Rosa avenues and is expected to continue through May. Customers have been notified and traffic controls will be in place because of heavy machinery and equipment in the area, PG&E Spokesperson Deanna Contreras said.
PG&E contract crews are performing the work between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, Contreras said.
“This is one part of a larger enhancement project for the distribution line that serves thousands of East Santa Rosa customers, who will benefit with improved electric reliability,” Contreras said.
