SF Bay Area drenched by one of the first rainfalls of the season, and more is on the way

The San Francisco Bay Area was soaked by a narrow band of rainfall on Sunday morning that’s expected to continue to work its way through the region, with a chance of isolated showers lingering throughout the evening, the National Weather Service said.

“It took me a little by surprise, and the first couple of rainfalls of the season can certainly do that,” said Dalton Behringer, a meteorologist for the weather service’s Bay Area office. “But for the most part, totals are pretty on par with the forecast.”
